There's something incredibly satisfying about making your own homemade peanut butter. With just a few simple items—dry roasted peanuts, a dash of sea salt, and a food processor—you can whip up a creamy, delicious spread that far surpasses store-bought versions. The process only takes about 10 minutes, and you’ll be rewarded with a rich, nutty flavor that you can customize to your liking. Whether you prefer it smooth or chunky, homemade peanut butter is not only a tasty treat but also packed with protein and healthy fats. Plus, it's a great way to control the ingredients, ensuring no hidden additives or preservatives. So grab those peanuts and get ready to enjoy a delightful, homemade spread that’s perfect on toast, in smoothies, or straight from the jar!

Ingredients:

- 3 cups dry roasted & salted or unsalted peanuts

- Sea salt, to taste (Optional, if using unsalted peanuts)

Instructions:

1. **Prepare the Food Processor**: Place the dry roasted peanuts in a medium-sized food processor.

2. **Process the Peanuts**: Begin processing the peanuts. At first, the mixture will be chunky. Continue processing, stopping every 30 seconds to 1 minute to scrape down the sides of the bowl and allow the motor to cool.

3. **Watch for Consistency Changes**: As you process, the peanuts will thicken into a ball and then gradually turn into a creamy and smooth texture. This process usually takes about 8 to 10 minutes.

4. **OPTIONAL: Add Salt**: If you’re using unsalted peanuts, taste the peanut butter and add sea salt to your preference. Blend again to incorporate the salt.

Yield

- Makes about 1 cup of peanut butter.
