Indulge in a rich and energizing treat with a Chocolate Espresso Protein Smoothie. This delightful concoction offers a perfect blend of flavors, combining the boldness of fresh espresso with the sweetness of bananas and cashew butter. Packed with protein powder, it serves as a satisfying post-workout drink or a quick breakfast option. The cacao powder adds a touch of chocolatey goodness, while the coconut milk enhances the smooth texture. With a balance of nutrients and a hint of sweetness, this smoothie is a delicious way to fuel your day.

Ingredients:

- 2 frozen bananas

- 4 oz fresh made espresso (I use cafe bustelo decaf)

- 1 tbsp cashew butter

- 1 tbsp cacao powder

- 1 scoop protein powder (such as naked pea protein powder)

- 1/2 - 1 tbsp agave or other sweetener of choice

- 1/4 cup coconut milk

Instructions:

1. In a blender, add the frozen bananas, fresh espresso, cashew butter, cacao powder, protein powder, agave or sweetener, and coconut milk.

2. Blend all the ingredients together until smooth and well combined. If the smoothie is too thick, you can add more coconut milk to adjust the consistency.

3. Taste the smoothie and add more sweetener if needed.

4. Pour the smoothie into a glass and enjoy your Chocolate Espresso Protein Smoothie!
